Safe Welcome

This is the time that everyone is having fun and enjoying the event. For health care providers this is the most busy day of the year. Wherein emergency right or left and everywhere. This is not the right time to be lax at one corner and chill with the others. It is one of the most exciting part of being a health care provider. As much as we all wanted to be, to celebrate happily, Let's welcome the year happily and safety. Just a friendly reminder from a little nurse in the corner..

Appendectomy

It is a treatment operation  in an inflamed appendix which to be called appendicitis. This is just a minor operation as long as the appendix is not ruptured. The causes of appendicitis are not well understood, but it is believed to occur as a result of one or more of these factors: an obstruction within the appendix, the development of an ulceration (an abnormal change in tissue accompanied by the death of cells) within the appendix, and the invasion of bacteria. Under these conditions, bacteria may multiply within the appendix.

The appendix may become swollen and filled with pus (a fluid formed in infected tissue, consisting of while blood cells and cellular debris), and may eventually rupture. Signs of rupture include the presence of symptoms for more than 24 hours, a fever, a high white blood cell count, and a fast heart rate

. Very rarely, the inflammation and symptoms of appendicitis may disappear but recur again later. 

Symptoms of appendicitis are somewhat vague, but usually pain in the abdomen, which occurs firstly around belly button but then moved to the lower right area, is a classic symptom of appendicitis. Other symptoms can include constipation and diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, loss of appetite and a low fever that appears in conjunction with the other symptoms.

Treatment for appendicitis is appendectomy only. Most suggested of all physicians.

Underemployment and Underpaid for Nurses

I am deeply and madly depressed to the result of NLE last August but due to a positive me, I got managed the sadness that again focus and driven to continue life at its best. Just recently I am fortunate and  got hired in a company. Still as always a BPO industry. In my surprise that majority of my new friends were registered nurses. Friends in the company I am working now. That made me feel good and bad. 

First felt good, because the only difference that I and my new friends had is the little card that states a license nurse card. That they strives for the license yet after the hard work there were no generous hospital administration that will provide them  rather give  them chances to start practicing the precious career. I felt bad for that fact. The hard work of studying the whole four years, the hard work for passing the board exam seems went nowhere. Thousands of  registered nurses are currently now trapped in call centers. I am not against being in a call center as a matter of fact I am happy that this line of business arise and gave more opportunities to any individual. Yet the fact of under employment really hurts every nurses ego. How much money,time effort sacrificed just to fulfill the dream of being a nurse but in the end , different line of business where we'll going to. There were some that provide nurse a job in its description but the compensation was not enough to a simple daily living. Volunteers some unfortunately abused. Oh how I wish that everything will turn good and fairly favorable for nurses.
